Dr. Hutchison's insight on destruction of electronic media has resulted in defining data destruction standards in the National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-88. 

Dr. Hutchison will speak to these standards in Washington D.C. with members of congress as it relates to various legislation concerning data protection such as HIPAA, Gramm-Leach Bliley, Sarbanes-Oxley, FACTA, etc.
