Unlike Shred-IT, Recall, and Iron Mountain who started their successful businesses handling paper documents, D3 Services originated as a direct result of its pioneering work into safe destruction of electronic media for the Department of Defense, and classified data on electronic media. Today, we process millions of CD and DVD discs, hard disk drives, floppies, all forms of magnetic tapes, flash drives and virtually any type of media with a binary signal. Unlike our competitors, we use patented equipment which is designed for handling safe destruction of classified data for the military: When we provide our customers with a "Certificate of Destruction", we can prove that the digital data on their media is in fact completely destroyed beyond forensic recovery.
